Local Hamper is not a producer itself but serves as a conduit, connecting local farmers and food & drink makers with their communities.

Our goal is to support the local economy, promote environmentally friendly practices contributing to sustainable growth, help to reduce the environmental impact of food production & distribution, delivering a fairer share of sales to producers, and promote healthier dietary choices within local communities. .

Local Hamper provides consumers with the option of buying directly from local farmers and food producers, without the involvement of a middleman, at a fair price.

How it works

Sourcing food locally from independent producers significantly reduces the environmental impact of food production

Local Hamper brings together food and drinks producers, enabling them to sell their goods directly to consumers.

Farmers and producers earn 80% of the sales of their products on Local Hamper, as opposed to only 30 to 40% when they sell through supermarkets. This allows producers to offer their goods at a much fairer price to communities.

share of sales

Local Hamper takes care of costs including online transaction fees, administration, maintenance & improvement of the online platform, host fees and logistics support. This ensures the smooth operation of a well-oiled network, serving the producers and the general public alike.

Communities use the platform to conveniently order locally produced food and drinks online and pick them up at designated Local Hamper venues on a weekly basis.
